“Caught in the ACT” is a benefit for alumni of Seattle’s TheFilmSchool, giving them the opportunity to have their screenplays read by professional actors in front of a big audience.

The readings take place in the ACT theatre, a hotbed for new writing talent. One award winning TFS alum puts it like this: "It’s not until you hear the work 'on it’s feet' that you really see how and where the dialogue flows - or needs more work."

This benefit is jointly sponsored by TheFilmSchool and the Screen Actor’s Guild. Actors appreciate the chance to try out new work. Experienced directors and aspiring wannabes alike come to the ACT events to see pieces by the latest new writing and acting talent. And audiences love the chance to see some of what goes into writing for movies.
